Domain Change Mistake

  Hello again WordPress!

  I would like some assistance with a small problem…I signed up for my domain name about a week ago and requested that it be changed in a forum. Can someone direct me to a specific department/person where I can make this request? I originally signed up for SFFrenchculinaryterms.com and would like
  TheFrenchCulinaryTerms.com.

  When I last made this request, the WordPress angels changed my domain name to TheFrenchCulinaryTerms.wordpress.com and linked it to SFFrenchCulinaryTerms. I would prefer my domain name to only be TheFrenchCulinaryTerms.com.

  Any information on how to make this final change would be awesome and much appreciated.

  Hi,

  Unfortunately, you only have 48 hours to make a change to your domain (you actually cancel it for a full refund and then re-purchase the correct domain). Here’s a little more information:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/all-about-domains/#i-misspelled-my-domain-can-i-edit-it

  You can still go through this process, however, and get the domain you want – cancel the domain you currently have, and then register for the new domain that you want. I can help you with these steps if you need me to!

  Hey zandyring,

  Thanks for your reply! Your help would be greatly appreciated. Since I already have this domain name, what would be the process to just add TheFrenchCulinaryTerms.com? Would that also be a viable option? Would people still be directed to my site appropriately or should I just scrap the old domain name?

  I’d appreciate knowing the process for both options…

  You can add another domain to your site! You’ll have to map the new one (pay for the domain registration and mapping), and then select one to be your primary domain. Here’s a little more information:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/#setting-the-primary-domain

  To add a new domain, you want to go to your Domains page (Dashboard > Store > Domains) and add the new domain you’d like to see:
  https://thefrenchculinaryterms.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domains

  Then, click through to make the purchase and to map it.

  People will then get to your site when they enter EITHER domain name!
