Domain change or mapping

  I’m happy with my current domain and registrar and don’t want to move it or map it. Do I have to do one or the other to use WordPress?

  Hi there – It sounds like your goal is to build a website that will use that domain. And it sounds like you are interested in using WordPress software to build it, is that right?

  Does your current registrar offer a WordPress hosting package? If so, hosting your site where your domain is registered would allow you to accomplish building a WordPress site without moving or mapping your domain.

  If they do not offer hosting services, let us know and we can help you think through alternatives.
