Domain Change Over

  I am changing this blog over from a wordpress.com to a wordpress.org and want to take the domain name with me. We’ve gone through the store and can’t get the code sent that we need to enter to change over the site. Need help having control of this domain.

  Hi there,
  If you’ve registered your domain through WordPress.com and now want it to point to a blog or website hosted elsewhere then you can do this by updating the nameservers.

  Thank you for your response. We would like to transfer this domain to another registrar (GoDaddy in this case) instead of only pointing to a new nameserver. We have purchased the transfer from GoDaddy but are not receiving the email with transfer codes which GoDaddy says is going to (email visible only to moderators and staff) but is not routing to any email. According to the email we have private registration but I cannot find any location within the upgrades to cancel it.
  Any further help to do a full transfer?

  Nina,

  Your domain, ninaroesner.com, is registered with REGISTER.COM, INC., not with WordPress.com.

  If you want to transfer your domain to another registrar, you will need to initiate that process with REGISTER.COM, INC.
