I was charged $18 for a domain that is non existent. During the order, I was taken to page that stated the transaction did not go through but I was charged through my paypal anyway. I would like a refund please.

WordPress.com provides a 30-day refund on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers.

Provided you are logged in under the same username account that purchased the upgrades, you can request a refund yourself directly from the Store section of your Dashboard, and also request a refund and disable auto-renew there.
Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades

Note: It takes from 1 – 2 weeks for the refund to be received.

It doesn’t even show up in My Upgrades

    Hi there!

I do see where a purchase of $18 was attempted on February 4th, but it is marked in both ours and Paypals records as a failed transaction. We never received any payment so I cannot refund anything. That also explains why it does not appear your “My Upgrades” page.

If it still appears on your credit card statement it is likely an Authorization charge and will go away in time, typically within 5 business days of the transaction.

I’d recommend contacting your credit card company as well and they might be able to clarify on how long the authorization hold will be in place. Please let me know if they have other information regarding the charge and I’m happy to investigate further on our end.
