Domain ‘coming soon’ nutrinerd.com

    Hello! My name is Samantha Hamlin, and I would like to purchase and use nutrinerd.com. It says it is taken by a WordPress user. I have NutriNerd LLC, nutrinerd.net and will shortly own the trademark. Once the trademark is granted (01/24/2023), is it possible to request this site be relinquished without having an attorney get involved?
    I appreciate your help and input!

    Hi there, the domain nutrinerd.com isn’t registered with WordPress.com; it looks like it’s registered via Mesh Digital or Webfusion (it’s not entirely clear which):
    https://www.whois.com/whois/nutrinerd.com

    The current owner may be using it with the stand-alone WordPress software which comes from WordPress.org instead.

    As it isn’t registered through us, your best bet is likely to start with either Webfusion or Mesh Digital; or potentially the registrant info which while it’s standard privacy info, should still get you in touch with the registrar.

    Thanks for writing to us. I’ve had a look at nutrinerd.com and can tell you that somebody else does already own that domain registration. The domain does not expire until 2029-04-01 , which means you’re not going to be able to pick it up any time soon with out involving the owner. If the domain had a closer expiration date you could try and pick it up if it wasn’t renewed.

    The domain is not registered in our system, nor is the site hosted through WordPress.com. Because of that, we aren’t going to be able to give further help.
