domain confusion

Hello!
I had a domain (notofthisplace.com). I then tried to change it. Now I cannot seem to access either of them. When I use wordpress.org it says my email address has not been registered, and I do not know my password. I have not really put anything on my blog yet and was just starting to work on it… But now I am not sure what is going on.. Sorry! I’m super confused. I want to change my domain name, but not lose access of my site!!Thanks for the help!

Hi. It looks like your site is a WordPress.org site, not a WordPress.com site. If it is a WP.org site, unfortunately you’re in the wrong forum. To find out the difference, and get directions to the right forum, just click here (hope this helps):

Hi Lauren,
Did you change the domain in Settings ->General? If you do that on a self-hosted site, all you do is to break the site and lock yourself out of the dashboard.
You’ll need to log into your hosting control panel at your hosting provider to fix this, as you’ll need to change the domain in your site’s database directly. The folks in the WordPress.org forum will be able to tell you exactly what to do.
