domain confusion

  hi. I purchased a domain name that I thought was a .com, but it turned out to be a wordpress.com so I bought it from another host (using wordpress for site), but not my VA is having trouble setting up my email and other things because it’s pointing to wordpress as the domain owner, but I have nothing that shows I purchased that from wordpress. When I log into wordpress I only see the wordpress.com account not the .com name it says they own. I need help figuring this out. I own the .com through Bluehost, but the VA can’t get to it. Thanks for your help.
