DOMAIN CONNECTION ERROR

  I have purchased the domain name ‘caramelworldwide.com’ already, yet the site will not let me connect it without purchasing a year subscription to the pro upgrade. I want to use word press because of the professionality of the site, coupled with the ease of use but this is becoming a large hurdle. Can you help me?

  Sorry, but you will not be able to add your own domain unless you upgrade to pro.

  The Site says I can connect the domain for free it doesn’t allow me to, so the site needs to changed or re word their advertisements

  Could you tell me where it says you can connect for free?

  I believe it says Free domain with an annual plan in the sidebar and Get a free one-year domain registration or transfer with any paid plan. in the Upgrades -> Domains page. Cheers!

  When you click use a domain i own: …

  The page then gives two options of connecting or transferring. Connecting which means i keep my current provider and i get my SSL cert for free. But when you click it, it automatically adds Pro to your cart. I’d prefer to pay $17 a year for domain connection than $240 for a pro subscription when I’m going to link Shopify
