domain cost after 1 year / limited web space?

    Hello,

    I have 2 questions regarding building a website on WordPress.
    1) I’ve seen that all premium accounts (for 1 year) have included a 1 year domain for free, my question is what’s the cost / year after?
    2) I want to upload a guitar course, my question is: will I be limited to upload a maximum of x GBs? If the answers is yes, what’s the limit?

    Hi there,

    I’ve seen that all premium accounts (for 1 year) have included a 1 year domain for free, my question is what’s the cost / year after?

    Pricing is variable and based on the domain extension. For example, .com domains are USD$18/yr to renew. During checkout you can see the standard cost is “crossed off” for the first year, but for following years that is the additional cost to renew the domain and keep it active.

    2) I want to upload a guitar course, my question is: will I be limited to upload a maximum of x GBs? If the answers is yes, what’s the limit?

    Each plan does have an upload limit, for example the personal plan has a 6GB limit (free sites have a 3GB limit) but also that can depend on the file type you plan to upload.

    For videos for example, you will need our Premium plan (or higher) which starts at a 13GB upload limit. It is not possible to upload videos on the personal plan or on free sites. Learn more about our WordPress.com upgrade plans here: https://wordpress.com/pricing/

    Hello there,

    The maximum file that can be uploaded at any time is 2 GB.

    Out of curiosity, are you looking to upload videos to the site? If yes, you may wish to consider streaming these instead, as this can save space if you have lots of video content.

    And 1 last question. Regarding your plans, if I’m getting the Personal one for 1 month for example, and after 3 days I’m deciding that I want to upgrade to Premium one. Will I pay the full price for the upgrade? Or only the difference between the Premium and the Personal one?

    If you’re upgrading a plan, you’ll only need to pay the difference. :)
