    I just deleted my domain, organicbamboobeddingblog.com and I went to Hostgator to register the domain name and they said it was taken.

    As mentioned during the domain cancellation process, we cannot guarantee that you’ll be able to re-register the domain.

    Once the grace period passes, your domain is basically returned to a registrar pool that we have no control over. It may return to the public market eventually, but only if it’s not awarded to any back orders or auctions first, and we have no control over that entire process.

    The good news is, your domain is still in that grace period, and can be recovered in the next 48 hours. I have sent a payment request to the email address on your account for the domain registration fee (since the original registration has already been refunded).

    If you’d like to recover that domain, simply pay that and let us know.

    Once the domain is recovered here, you can direct it to Hostgator by changing the name servers: https://en.support.wordpress.com/move-domain/change-name-servers/

    It is not possible to transfer a domain for 60 days following the registration date or for the 60 day period following a previous transfer. This 60 day lock is required by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and cannot be waived. However, once those 60 days have passed, you can transfer it to Hostgator: https://en.support.wordpress.com/move-domain/transfer-domain-registration/

    That is only possible though of course if you recover the domain within the next 48 hours. So, if you’d like to do that, please let us know when the registration fee has been paid.

    Hi thanks for the update and a Merry Christmas.

    Now that I’ve re-registered my domain name, “organicbamboobeddingblog.com”
    how long do I have to wait to be able to transfer the domain name over to Hostgator? Not just he name servers, but the domain name itself?

    I have several domain names registered with Hostgator along with websites and I want to keep everything in one place.

    You don’t need to wait, the domain doesn’t seem to be locked so you should be able to transfer it right away:
