Domain deleted

  Hello, I recently bought a personal plan and with it registered a domain albertsaiztezanos.com. Here is the deal, as i saw that i was too restricted in modifying my website with wordpress.com I changed to wordpress.org and hosted with Bluehost.

  I was going crazy as I didn’t find how to transfer my wordpress.com into .org (I checked a lot youtube and google but nothing worked).

  the wp-admin kept redirected me to wordpress.com which i didn’t want.

  So I tried to delete all my stuff on wordpress.com (domain, website)
  and then after all that I finally found that I just had to change the domain name server apparently. but it seems I can’t do it anymore as I deleted the domain on wordpress.com.

  Can someone help me please?

  I’ll be happy to contact the registrar to see if we can restore albertsaiztezanos.com to your account, but I cannot guarantee that we will be able to get the domain back. If I am successful, I can send you a manual payment request form for you to repurchase the domain.

  Thank uyou very much but what I don’t understand is the fact that I can’t buy it anywhere else even if I deleted the domain on wordpress.

  And BlueHost says that it is still my own. I’m very confused…

  I’m happy to report that albertsaiztezanos.com has been restored to your account. :) I have sent a manual payment request to the email address on file for your WordPress.com account. I’ll be able to activate the domain on your account as soon as payment’s been received.

  In answer to your earlier question: Domains have to comply with regulations set out by an organisation called ICANN. As part of this, they can’t be cancelled and registered elsewhere straightaway. Instead, they enter a lengthy expiration process that you can read more about here.

  If you want to use the domain with another company, then we don’t recommend cancelling. Instead, you can follow the steps here to move your domain:

  Apologies: I had thought you’d been refunded for WordPress.com Personal originally. After double checking your account, I can see that refund was incorrect and have reinstated your domain at no extra cost.
