  Hi I have a self hosted WP blog with siteground and wish to move it onto WordPress.com servers as I am not needing the extras that self hoisting offers right now. I just want a simple blog to put my content and possibly reupgrade in the future. I want to keep my domain name but pull my website across to your free servers. Please can you advise how I go about this?
  I am letting my housing plan expire but renewing my domain.

  You can follow this guide to export from your existing site and move to a WordPress.com site: https://transferto.wordpress.com/self-hosted-wordpress-org/

  That’s going to import your content, but no themes or plugins. If you’d like to connect your domain when you’re ready, choose a paid hosting plan.

  You can map a domain and keep your existing registrar: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
  Or you can choose to transfer the domain to WordPress.com and have everything paid under one company: https://en.support.wordpress.com/incoming-domain-transfer/
