Domain DNS Problem – Purchased Domain not Working

Domain DNS problem – Hi there. I purchased a new domain yesterday with the wordpress value bundle that I bought but it says “DNS needs to be updated”. I cannot update it as I have never purchased this domain before. I bought it yesterday through wordpress.com
Like I said, I did not previously own this domain name and obviously cannot map it as I purchased the domain name from wordpress – it said that it was available for purchase. I checked online and to the best of my knowledge nobody else owns it so I do not understand the problem. I check godaddy and it says the domain name is available to purchase. But how so when it was purchased by me yesterday?
Can you please fix this problem for me. Thankyou.

Just to clarify. I purchased both the domain name AND the mapping. But it is as if only the mapping went through. This is bizarre.

There were some problems with registration yesterday when Godaddy was crashed, also domain name registration sometimes fails – if that happened then the staff will refund your money and you can register the domain name again –
If the domain name is still available then the registration probably failed yesterday
I have flagged this for the staff to check your account and help you

Yes, that appears to have been the problem.
Please try adding the domain again via Store -> Domains in your blog’s Dashboard.

I tried adding the domain again and it said “This domain has already been mapped to a WordPress.com blog. “
I went to DOMAINS and entered ADD A DOMAIN

I am having the same problem, bought the domain and the mapping with wordpress, but so far it doesnt go anywhere….

Your domain registration seems to have failed – I have flagged this for the staff to help you.
Also look under Dashboard >> Store >> Billing History to see if you were charged for the registration – if not then try registering again – if you were the staff will refund the charges and you can try again

Yes, it appears in my billing history, it has got a paypal id and everything… charged $26, for domain, mapping and private! What shall I do? I have other blogs with wordpress and this never happened before!

This is flagged for the staff to help you – they will refund the charges that did not work and you can register the name again – they will reply in this thread or send you and email to the address on your account.

Is http://salftraining.com/ the domain you were trying to register?
If so, it appears to be working just fine.
When a domain is registered or altered, there is a process called propagation, where information about the domain name is passed to internet service providers all over the world. This process can take up to 72 hours (though usually much less). During that time, you may also receive a warning message in your browser about “redirect errors”. Unfortunately, we have no control over this as it all depends on how often your internet service provider updates their records. Please rest assured that everything is proceeding normally with your domain.

Yeah, I first registered on Friday, and nothing had happened, it was asking for me to update muy DNS. Then you cancelled all the transactions and credited my account, so I did the whole process registration again last night and it is now up and running.
