Domain DNS records
-
Hi, I’m trying to find DNS records for dakotastudent.com. We need to set up SPF or DKIM authentication for us to send a newsletter to subscribers – Google started kicking them back at the beginning of February. We are still able to make changes to the site itself, so I don’t think we need to renew the domain or register a new one. Is there a way I can get these? Thanks!
WP.com: Yes
Jetpack: No
Correct account: YesThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there!
It looks like the domain you mentioned is registered with Cloudflare and has their nameservers. You’ll need to log into their dashboard and add the required DNS records to the domain there. Please contact Cloudflare support if you’re having trouble logging in or updating the DNS records on this domain.
Regards

Thanks for your response. I tried to recover the domain from Cloudflare but an account recovery email never showed up. I made a new account to try registering dakotastudent.com, and Cloudflare says that account isn’t active with them.
I can’t properly get in touch with their support without opening a business account. I sent an email to the domain’s registrant, but that’s the email I need access to because this domain is classified as clientTransferProhibited. Do you know if Cloudflare will keep a domain active until the registry expires? That will be 12/2/2024.

Hey @dakotastudent,
Using the tool https://lookup.icann.org/en/lookup, it looks like the domain is registered with Cloudflare. If it is not, then only Cloudflare would be able to see who the registrar is because of the domain privacy they are providing.
We cannot provide support for Cloudflare services and do not have access to their service information, such as how long they will keep a domain active. Please follow up with them directly for support, as there is nothing we can do.
We wish you the best of luck with your domain!
