Domain double pay

    Hello, I paid for both domain registration and the starter plan…I believe I only needed to buy the starter plan, which included a domain…will you please confirm this and refund me the $19 for the registration since the domain was already apparently included in the starter site plan?

    To add to the frustration, I upgraded to the Explorer Plan so I can chat with WordPress, and that does not work either. The site keeps directing me to upgrade to explorer, which I already did.

    Hi there!

    The free domain credit that comes with the yearly WordPress.com plans is applicable for the first year only. Additionally, it only applies to a new domain registration. Since your domain is old, the free domain credit wasn’t applicable to you.

    However, since you still have a free domain credit, we can renew the domain for another year for you. We can also refund the domain renewal fee that was charged if that’s what you really want.

    Please note that the free domain credit is for the first year only. From the second year onwards, the domain registration fee will remain separate from the WordPress.com plan.
