Domain / Email

Hello, I have been trying to transfer my domain hosting from Squarespace to WordPress and now my email is no longer working.

I have a Creator Plan and my only options for customer support is this Community Forum or an Email, as the Live Chat is grayed out / unavailable.

I’m unable to receive emails so I am unable to get support.

I called my domain provider, GoDaddy to try to resolve this and they pointed me to a section of codes for DNS Settings, they said I needed to give these to folks at WordPress to fix the issue.

As that is not an option, can I do it myself manually? Otherwise I need to switch back to my previous Squarespace setup and get a refund hopefully for this.

    Thank you,
    Jessica

Hey Jessica, I’m not a WordPress dev, but I noticed your website is linked to a staging site. Perhaps this is why the email is not working? Your inbox won’t be connected to the staging site at wpcomstaging.com. To my knowledge, your email DNS would be set to a live site only. Maybe you could try launching your staging site to production and retry your email settings on the live site. You can always make your production site private or set it to coming soon or maintenance mode, if you don’t want your site to be open to the public yet. I hope this helps you in the right direction! Best of luck with your business. xo
