Domain exceeding bandwidth email

  • Unknown's avatar

Help. I just got an email that my domain is about to exceed it’s bandwidth. The email was from (email visible only to moderators and staff) but I assume it came from WP.comm since this is where it is registered. Do you know what I am supposed to do? Can I upgrade the bandwidth within WordPress.com or would transferring the domain to a new host like GoDaddy solve the problem?

    Thanks

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You are posting to the wrong support forum. http://youdidwhatwithyourweiner.com/ is not a free hosted WordPress.com blog and we cannot help you here. If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.

The URL IS registerd through WordPress.com though?? It’s the bandwidth for the URL that is the problem and my questions is about increasing the bandwidth for the URL…not about the site.

I apologize but I don’t understand how someone at .org will be able to help me with a .com registered URL.

If I still need to look somewhere else for the info let me know/

It’s your web host that provides bandwidth and charges for it.
There are no bandwidth limitations on free hosted WordPress.com blogs.

    OK, thanks. I understand.

The email didn’t say where it came from but cited the URL registered at WordPress.com…to I assumed that is where the email was generated from.

    Thanks for the help.
