  Hi,
  I’m thinking of bringing another blog over from Blogger and building a personal website around both of my blogs. I think the domain name I want costs around the same as the domain I already have (Milton Views). Is it possible to do an exchange?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  There is no such thing as a domain name exchange.

  You must be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog and purchased the domain mapping upgrade to access the blog’s dashboard and cancel.

  If you wish to register a new custom domain, you can do so at any time. However, we cannot simply cancel one domain and substitute it for another domain, as each domain registration is separate and you will need to purchase a new custom domain upgrade and register the new domain even if you don’t want to use the old one any longer.

  good to know. If I cancel the domain, do I get a partial refund of some sort?

  The window for cancellation is 48 hours, and you get a full refund. Beyond that threshold, you get nothing.

  You can only cancel a domain within 48 hours of registration for a refund. Because you’ve been using miltonviews.com since March, I’m afraid I can’t offer a refund for that.

  You can, however, keep using the domain on your site even after you register a new one, and if you make the new one the primary domain, then all of your traffic to miltonviews.com will redirect to the new domain. This will ensure you don’t lose any traffic from your old domain.
