  I’ve bought a domain few month ago from Godaddy, and linked it to a site i’ve built with another platform (including storage).
  I want to build the same site with WordPress but i want to keep it running on the other platform till i’m done.

  I’m not sure how to handle it: If i’ll choose WordPress Premium plan, should i choose a new domain from list, and when i finish my WordPress site, replace the two? Is it possible to transfer it from Godaday to WordPress? If so, how? And will this domain be free for a year as well?

  Hello there,

  Many thanks for reaching out.

  You can create the site here at WordPress.com, on the premium plan using the default WordPress domain, which would be something like: example.wordpress.com.

  When you’re ready, you could then map the domain from GoDaddy to WordPress.com using these instructions. https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

  This approach would ensure the site under the domain currently, is not touched whilst you build a site with WordPress.com.
