Domain Expiration

Please help,
My domain says it expired. When I messaged back and forth with a word press associate a month ago when I first got the message, they had told me it was a bug. Now my website will not show up because of expiration. I have no way of renewing the website. It will not give me the option. I am on the free plan, but the domain has a cost. I am confused.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I get this message
“Oh no! This blog’s domain kimcoxart.com expired!
Unfortunately you cannot access this blog from kimcoxart.com any more. This domain name expired and will soon be canceled.Please contact the owners of this website and remind them to renew this domain before it’s too late. They need your help!”
My domain is registered through Domain.com until 2018. I do not understand why I am getting this issue.

Ours is doing exactly the same thing, since 13th May – we have the domain registered through ukcheapest.co.uk until Jan 2019 but visitors to our page are getting the same domain expired notice.
We have had no renewal messages from either WordPress or our Domain provider. Please help!

What I ended up doing was going to settings on my wordpress page and redirecting the “expired” domain to a wordpress.com site I had. I paid a $13 which is expected, but I still do not understand how all of this went down. My site, kimcoxart.com works now because it has been redirected but I’d like an explaination at some point pleasee.
