Also note that no one can be forced to sell you a domain name that you allowed to expire. They paid for it and they own it – you don’t.

it was an accident that it expired – my expiration date on my card for autorenewal was incorrect and i didn’t realize it until now
today is the 90th day of the grace period, btw…and the people that bought it (what appears to be web.com) has made a mock page with text in latin and no content…most likely to get me to buy it from them to have their web people re-do the page… -
Unfortunately, we no longer control the domain retaildj.com, which expired on February 6, and cannot renew it for you. All of your content is still available through this URL: http://retaildj.wordpress.com/
I removed the expired domain upgrade from your account, to avoid further confusion.
We attempted to inform your domain’s expiration (via email and dashboard notices). It was possible to recover the domain for some weeks after its expiration, but because of the time lapsed, the domain was sent back to the registrar who then sold it to a new owner. This support article describes the expiration process in detail, if you are interested: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-expiration/
Here is the publicly available contact information of the new domain owner: http://who.is/whois/retaildj.com
You could try contacting them to see if they will sell the domain to you. Please be sure to use a reputable online purchasing site for this transaction, if it happens.
I am sorry I was not able to help you more in this case.
