Domain Expiration

  Hi there,
  I believe my domain name, carlypetrone.com, may have expired. Is there any way to get this back? It’s vital as my main blog is connected to it and has to have it live in order to work.

  From the whois data, it appears that your domain has been registered elsewhere. From what I see, the domain has never been registered with us here at WordPress.com.

  Do you remember registering your domain with TUCOWS DOMAINS INC.? If so, you’ll need to reach out to them so you can eventually map the domain to your WordPress.com site.

  So how do I find out if I’m in a redemption period and if so how do I pay so I can move forward? this really shouldn’t be so complicated

  I also have another wordpress account that expired and maybe this is the issue. It’s petroneontherocksnyc.wordpress.com. I just paid to upgrade it (it expired on 9/9/16). PLEASE HELP.

  carlypetrone.com is not registered with WordPress.com and doesn’t look like it was mapped to a site under your account. All indications show that the domain was most likely pointed to a self-hosted WordPress.ORG site, not a WordPress.COM site.

  If you believe the the domain was connected to a site here at WordPress.com, what is the WordPress.com URL? I’d take a look for you.

  To clear up any confusion, self-hosted WordPress sites and WordPress.com are two, different entities, but the essential difference is that we don’t have access to all WordPress sites, only ones hosted on our WordPress.com servers. For more information, please see:

  However, if you have access to the server control panel through your host, it is always possible to regain access to a self-hosted WordPress site. This WordPress.org Codex article will walk you through the steps:
