Domain expiration

The administrator for our domain was recently changed but it appears that the process to transfer this with you was not completed. The former administrator actioned the transfer but it seems the new one did not receive the necessary confirmatory email to complete the process. As a result the domain has expired and we are now in the redemption period. We have tried to redo the transfer but that doesn’t seem to be possible. Please can you advise us how to proceed.

We’ll need to get the domain redeemed before it can be transferred, or you can wait it out and hope the domain is released. Is the current administrator able to work with us on this?

They need to sign in to their WordPress.com account and post in this forum or use the https://wordpress.com/help/contact/ link to reach us. We need confirmation from them that they’ll agree to the $80 redemption fee of the domain. We can’t move forward until we hear from that correct account.
