Domain expiration and can't login?

  I started a WordPress hosted site and paid extra for domain mapping. A few years later, someone else took over the site, and I don’t believe it’s hosted on WordPress.com anymore. I was still able to renew the domain mapping each year. This year, I received a renewal notice at my gmail account but the WordPress site doesn’t seem to recognize an account under that email…? The domain has now expired and I don’t know who to contact to renew it and secure the domain.

  I don’t need help with the site listed above – I need help with rashidmod.com. I wrote this from my other account because I can’t get in to my gmail account to renew (this is where the notice was sent, at least)

  Hi there,

  The domain, rashidmod.com, belongs to the username, 4struggle, only that username can renew it. You will need to log in as that username and reply here, and then I can help you. If you don’t remember your password for that username, you can see our account recovery options here:

  Also note that the domain is currently in redemption with our registrar, and they charge a $80 fee to restore a domain in this status, so I will also need you to agree to that fee before I can start the recovery process.

  Otherwise I’ll be notified once you pay, and then I can contact our registrar to start the recovery process. Should the recovery fail you will be refunded in full.

  We’ve received your payment and I’ve emailed our registrar to restore the domain. I’ll let you know as soon as I hear back from them.

  Your domain has been reactivated and is showing your site again.

  Private registration is currently still disabled. I’m working to get that turned back on. I’ll let you know once that is also working again.

  Privacy on your domain has also now been re-enabled, so everything should be working again now.
