domain expiration and paying for renewal during the grace period

    My domain has expired. I wasnt seeing any of the emails you sent to me. I really need to get it up and running asap and move to auto pay.

    I cannot see how to make the payment in the grace period. Help!!

    Yes it’s a good idea to make sure auto-renewal is enabled. debbiesell.com expired over a month ago and the grace period only lasts for a week or so. It seems that domain is now in the redemption period so the renewal option won’t show in your dashboard and staff intervention is required to recover it. There is also an additional cost which has to be paid to the registrar for recovery. See this support doc: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-expiration/

    Although the title of your thread is clear enough I have added modlook to the tag box on the right to make sure that staff follow up.

    I have the same problem with campuafotografo.es for campuafotografo.wordpress.com.

    Could I recover the domain mapping? The registrar is OK.

    If you are unable to resolve this issue it would be preferable to start your own thread in the support forum explaining your problem. You can get help from WordPress.com staff by adding modlook to the tag box on the right.

    @campua your issue is indeed different and would be best served in a new thread. I’ll respond then close this out, and if you need more help, open a new thread and we’ll go from there.

    In your case the domain itself is properly registered and pointing here, but you no longer have a mapping upgrade because you let it expire back in July. We stopped offering mapping as a standalone upgrade some time ago, but you can get it in our Personal plan:

    That includes domain mapping, extra space, no ads, and direct support. Once you’ve added the plan, you can head to https://wordpress.com/domains to re-map your domain.
