Domain expiration and purchase

  I would like to see if I can retrieve my old domain but I can’t seem to find it or who ever owns it now!!

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  I’ve tagged this for Staff assistance. Are you referring to the domain in your username or the one in the address above?

  Hi there,

  I see two domains in your account that expired in June: foffcancer.com and onedayonmywaytothebar.com

  foffcancer.com is currently in redemption, which means our registrar is already preparing to delete the domain or sell it to someone else.

  I should still be able to get the domain back at this point, but our registrar charges a $80 fee to restore a domain from redemption. I’ll need you to agree to this fee before I can start the recovery process.

  onedayonmywaytothebar.com does not appear to be in redemption yet even though it expired at about the same time. If you want to get that domain back I can send you a link to pay for the renewal and try to retrieve it, but there is a chance that it is in redemption and our system just isn’t showing it. If that’s the case our registrar will ask us for the fee when I try to recover and I’ll need you to pay that as well to complete the process.

  Please let me know if you want to try and recover one or both domains, and if you agree to the redemption fee(s).

  Just a correction:

  onedayonmywaytothebar.com is in redemption and will cost $80 plus the regular renewal cost to restore.

  foffcancer.com does not appear to be in redemption, so we might still be able to get it back without having to pay the fee.

  I would like the onedayonmywaytothebar.com. I agree to pay the renewal cost to restore. Please let me know what I should do or if there is any information I can provide you and we can get this underway.

  I have sent a payment link via email. I’ll be notified when we receive payment, then I can contact our registrar to restore the domain. From there it should be reactivated within two days. If the recovery fails (unlikely but possible), your payment will be refunded in full.

  Awesome, I’ve made the payment. Will I receive a notification it has been reactivated or should I just keep checking?

  I’ve emailed our registrar to restore the domain. I’ll let you know here once it is reactivated.
