Domain expiration–get rid of message?

  We let our custom domain name expire (on purpose) but we’d like to keep the wordpress.com site active as a record. But when we go there, it has a “your domain name expired 72 days ago” message that I can’t get rid of. How can I delete that message and just let the gwfirstchapter.wordpress.com site exist in peace?

  Tagging this thread for Staff attention, they’d be able to remove the expired domain from your account.

  Please be patient while they respond. Apparently duplicate threads have been created for this issue.
