Domain Expiration / Hosting and Site Backup

I can no longer afford the $100 wordpress fee to keep my site alive, I would like to backup the entire site in a way that keeps all the info/pictures/articles/comments and posts in tact if at all possible. I have my ftp and tried to back up by db through the godaddy portal, i have a 1kb file with the .sql extension but I’m not sure how a 1kb file could contain even one article of content with any actual data. I also purchased by domain name through godaddy so i’m confused as to whether or not paying you the 13 bucks makes any sense, i’m also not sure when the domain expires exactly or how long i have to fix all this. I can maybe afford to pay you the $100 in the middle of next month or maybe sooner so if just leaving everything alone and letting the notifications keep coming is an option but i wont’ lose the entire site please just let me know what to do, this is very hard to manage without being able to speak to when your staff members, I paid for the services and am very loyal customer but this week i don’t have any money and i have no understanding of php back-ups or what i’d be backing up. This is just horrible timing, if someone can just help me i’d greatly appreciate it.

  • Howdy,

I’ve extended your bundle another month—does that help?

You can keep your entire site, at a bare minimum, for the $13/year—which is to attach your thenoisebleed.com domain to your WordPress.com site. You would lose the other benefits of our premium package (looks like some theme customization you did, extra storage space, and the ability to upload videos directly to WordPress.com).

If you would like to keep with the $99/year plan, you have a month to decide. If not, I can separate out the $13/year domain name (which is currently included as part of the $99/plan), so you can pay that instead of the whole package.

We’d like to help as much as can reasonably do!

    Cheers!
