Domain expiration problem: is my domain still recoverable?
-
I have renewed the premium upgrade (80€) on my domain helsinkiwinds.wordpress.com but the domain name helsinkiwinds.com from my original upgrade doesn’t still function. It still has the expired status and there doesn’t seem to be no way of renewing it. I wonder how I will get the preferred domain (without .wordpress.) up and running? Thanks and a happy new year!!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Howdy,
A different user on that blog purchased the upgrade. To confirm your identity, I’ll send you an e-mail to the address listed on the account with the upgrade purchased.
Thanks!

Hello again,
I am just confirming if you still see me as a different user..? I’m not sure which email you are seeing…?

Hi,
Yes, there is a different user account on your site that purchased the domain name, so that account owns it. The individual with the other account responded to my request for authorization via e-mail, so the domain has been renewed and you’re all set for the year.
Upgrades are owned by the original purchaser, and since that individual legally owns the domain, we have to go through a bit of confirmation before taking action on that individual’s “property”, so that’s why this isn’t as smooth as we’d like.
Cheers!
