    Hello, can you tell me how to renewal my domain is expire. first of all i buy domain in wordpress.com and include hosting then i move hosting to hostgator. in wordpress.com iam order Guided transfer. right now i would like to renewal my domain. where can i found to renewal my domain.

    Hi there,
    When a domain expires it falls into a grace period for about 10 days to 2 weeks, during this period the domain can be renewed at the regular price.

    After this, the domain falls under the redemption period(length can vary). You can also renew your domain during this period, but you will charged an extra $80.00 redemption fee along with the regular renewal cost.

    NOTE:

    During the redemption phase, domains can be included in expired-domain auctions, where another party can bid on your domain name. If the domain is claimed by someone else in an auction, you will not be able to renew. If you made a payment in attempt to reclaim the domain out of redemption and were unsuccessful, you will get a refund.

    Meanwhile, you can post the domain name you are trying to renew. This will save some time for the staff.

    Hey there,

    I checked with our registrar and cookingasyik.com is now in a redemption period. You can still renew your domain through us, but it is now a more expensive and complicated process to do so. Our registrar charges an $80 late renewal fee in addition to the $26 we charge to renew the domain. The good news is that this is still a chance of reclaiming the domain through this option.

    Your other option is to wait until the redemption period is over so that the domain becomes available for registration again. Domains are usually in redemption for approximately 80 days, but with this option, you run
    the risk of someone else jumping in front of you to purchase the domain before you get the chance.

    Please let me know if you want to proceed with paying the late renewal fee in the attempt to reclaim the domain name. This option is also time sensitive because the domain can be auctioned off to an expired domain bidder.

    I would suggest enabling the auto-renew option so that you will not have to worry about losing control over your domain in the future.

    can you explain step by step the process for renewal domain, because iam newbie for using wordpress.com feature

    You won’t see the renewal on your purchases page because the domain is no longer accessible to you – it’s in redemption at the moment. If you agree to pay the fee, I can retrieve it for you and provide a manual payment for you so that I can add it back to your account.
