I am asking on behalf of a friend as she is not able to get onto her site. Today she received a message stating Domain expired, and her site is down digitalageofmarketing.com. She was redirected back to wordpress.com but cannot logon and it appears her content has gone back to 3-4 years ago.. she has tried resetting her logon but it does not recognise her.. and she also does not have old registration details for wordpress as it was done many years ago. Is there any way to get help to resolve this before her domain grace period also expires? I can only any renewal notices have been send to old corporate email address, which she has not access to, and this is also reason she is unable to reset. Thanks in advance

It looks like your friend has a WordPress.ORG install with registration here at WordPress.COM – standard with many registrars is for them to reset the name servers when a domain name expires. It also looks like your friend had domain mapping to a site here – but if she was hosted on another host – the domain mapping should not be needed
This might be a bit tricky if the email goes to an address that is not working because the name servers are set back to here and not the other host
I have flagged this for the staff to help – can your friend login into here? If so that might help the staff, however they might also opt for a gift renewal if you would be willing to do that for your friend (domain registration is I think one of a couple of upgrades that can be done with a gift)

Thanks for the explanation and help. I was struggling to figure out why she would have a .org but was being redirected back to .com to pay or what the link was..
She is not able to login to anything I am afraid. Maybe due to the reset?
I am more than willing to pay on her behalf if you let me know how I can do this. Once back up and running she can ensure all her details are updated
