Domain Expired?

I have received email saying that my payment method was no longer available, and my account was not able to be upgraded. I have now fixed my payment method, but my site is no longer available and it is not clear to me what I must do next. I get a message that my domain has expired, but when I try to re-register, I’m told the domain is already registered. What is my next step? Please note that I have moved my site to a 3rd party host and no longer host on WordPress.com. I can be reached at [ information redacted ]
