domain expired
-
Isn’t there just a number I can call to talk to a wordpress person? :) My domain expired 2 months ago. I had switched my blog over to a wix site so I was unaware of it until one day it was just gone. Anyway… Looking for a little help.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There is no phone support here.
Oh no! Expired means over, dead, done and finished. https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-expiration/ We focus on not allowing domains to expire so others can purchase them when they are auctioned off and that’s why we have an auto renew feature. https://en.support.wordpress.com/manage-purchases/#auto-renew
Staff need details to recover the domain.
1. What is the domain URL?
2. What is the underlying .wordpress.com URL?
3. Exactly which username account registered the underlying .wordpress.com blog and purchased the upgrade for it?
4. When was the upgrade purchased?
5. When did the refund request and upgrade cancellation, or the domain expiration take place?

Hi there,
That domain has already been removed from our system and is currently in redemption with our registrar. It is still possible for me to recover the domain at this point, but our registrar charges a $80 fee to restore a domain from redemption. Let me know if you agree to that fee and I can get the recovery process started.

Is there a way, once it is recovered to disconnect my domain from WordPress and attach it to my wix website? I transferred everything on my blog to wix back in November and thought it was alright to let my stuff expire in WordPress because I had transferred everything or so I thought. And purchased a premium plan with wix. Is this possible?

Once the domain is restored you can transfer the domain registration to Wix, yes. Then you’ll renew the domain with Wix every year.
You can find Wix’s information on domain transfers here:
https://support.wix.com/en/article/tutorial-transferring-your-domain-to-wix
Once your domain is restored I can help you initiate the transfer from our end.
So should I proceed to try and get your domain back?

Thank you so much for the offer. I’d really like to talk to someone employed by WordPress. Or pay someone employed by them… You can understand why I’m a little hesitant to pay a stranger from a forum. I hope that’s not offensive. If you happen to know how to get in direct contact with WordPress, I’d be much obliged.

I am WordPress.com staff. That’s why it says “Happiness Engineer” under my username instead of “Member”

Oh, I see… Alright, then. Let’s get the ball rolling. What do I need to do? And is the best way to stay in contact?
-
Okay, I’ve sent you a payment link via email. I’ll be notified once we receive your payment, and then I can contact our registrar to ask them to restore the domain. If we’re lucky they might still be able to restore it today, but otherwise it might only be restored on Monday.
-
Cool. And from then I can jump through some hoops to tranfer everything over to Wix?
Thank you so much! -
Once the registrar restores the domain I can help you getting the domain transferred, yes. I’ve just emailed them, and will let you know as soon as I hear from them.

Good news! The domain has been recovered and is back on your site. You should have received a verification email to confirm the email on the domain’s registration info, so once you click on the link in the email to confirm, follow the steps here to start the transfer process:
