Domain Expired

  Apparently the credit card I have been using for my domain has expired and my site, http://www.juniordsports.com is down. Is there any way to update my credit card information and get my domain name back??

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  A little more info from digging…it apparently is in the redemption period. Can anyone help me with this?

  Hello.

  You can attempt to update your billing information and pay for redemption. See how to Manage Purchases

  It’s important to note that during the redemption phase, domains can be included in expired-domain auctions, where another party can bid on your domain name. If the domain is claimed by someone else in an auction, you will not be able to renew. If you made a payment in attempt to reclaim the domain out of redemption and were unsuccessful, you will get a refund.

  I read that in the help section at wordpress but when I go to manage purchases nothing is there. It has everything under billing history but nothing under manage purchases…it just has an “upgrade now” button.

  Good Morning –

  Yes, juniordsports.com is in redemption. This is the next step after expiration. The good news, is that we can try and recover the domain before it is resold to the public.

  To do this our domain partner charges an $80 fee. Let me know if you agree to that fee and then I’ll get the process in motion. It typically takes about 48 hours for us to hear back from regarding the domain and from there just a few clicks to add it back.

  The domain was restored. I’ve added it back to your account. You’ll find a secure payment link in my email from yesterday. It was delivered to the address at wordpress.com/me/account/
