Domain expired

  Hi,
  We had our domain set to auto renew through WordPress and ahead of expiry received emails confirming this and saying we didn’t need to do anything. However, today the domain stopped working and we are unable to renew it.
  When we went to the ‘domains’ section of ‘my site’ the renewal was still in our shopping cart priced at $26 but when we went to pay it disappeared.
  Can anyone help as we currently have no website and no way to renew the domain.

  Hi there!

  For most TLDs registered through WordPress.com, an expired domain falls into a grace period for about 10 days to two weeks. During this short window, the domain can be renewed at the regular price.

  If you experience difficulty renewing your domain during this time, go to the Help section. There will be a link to contact Support for further assistance.I’ve added a tag so a support staff can assist you.

  The domain expired in April and we cannot renew it this way. We cannot find a way to contact a member of staff to rectify this as the contact support link just links to this forum. Thank you you for your reply though.

  Allowing a domain to expire
  When you allow your domain expire, it then goes through a process that can take several months to complete described at https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-expiration/.

  If you are in the grace period you will not have to agree to pay a redemption fee set by the domain name registrar that wordpress.COM staff cannot waive.

  Otherwise, if you want Staff to try to recover the domain for you then you will have to agree to pay the redemption fee.

  This thread is tagged this thread in the sidebar with modlook for Staff attention.

  If you’re logged into the account that is associated with your expired domain, they will look up its status and get in touch with details.

  If you are not logged in under the correct username account then clear your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache and cookies https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-wordpress-com-cookies prior to logging into the associated account, and provide the domain URL here.

  Thanks for the help. The domain is trowbridgearts.com.

  Current status in whois is showing up as:
  Status: redemptionPeriod https://icann.org/epp#redemptionPeriod

  The problem is that the domain was setup to auto renew and we had emails to this end. For whatever reason this didn’t happen but the end result is we have no website for our arts organisation.
