Domain Expired
-
I’d love to ACTUALLY speak to someone from wordpress but I guess a public forum will have to do… WordPress never sent me any notification that my domain was expiring and was up for renewal, nor did they tell me it actually expired. Now it has expired my website won’t work and my clients can’t access their membership area and I’m losing business, but I digress. Whenever I go to purchases, or account information there is no record of me buying my domain, despite me doing so in February of 2019. I’d love for some help with this. And if anyone from wordpress could actually pull their finger out and help me instead of just a public forum that would be great…

Hi there!
The emails about expiring/expired subscriptions are sent automatically so, if you haven’t received them, they probably ended up in your Spam/Junk folder.
What is the domain in question? On your account, there are no WordPress.com sites, only two Jetpack connected WordPress.org sites (hosted elsewhere). Could it be that you’ve connected to the wrong account?
If you’re having trouble accessing the correct account, please check out this page and fill out the Account Recovery form:

Hi,
I always check my spam and it wasn’t in there. My domain is hosted by dreamhost. My domain looks like it expired at the end of Feb but I was able to use it all the way in April. My domain is http://www.thebestyouinstruction.com and it is connected correctly and I can login into my current account. What I need is to speak to someone with knowledge on this to get my domain renewed ASAP, not just back and forth on a public forum.

Hi –
You need to sign in to the account associated with that domain which is
mchambers86. From there, you can navigate to https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/ and there you’ll see a link to renew the doamin. If you’re unable to sign in to the account, then use the purchase details from last year to recover access. See here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/
