Domain Expired
-
Hi, please could you help us?
We bought the domain http://www.dianesflowersbydesign.com with you guys. It expired and we were unable to renew it in time. We have since moved the site to shopify but are unable to reclaim the .com domain name. When we log into WordPress no site exists, nor previous purchase history etc. In short all wordpress instructions re reclaiming our domain are invalid.
We need to urgently buy http://www.dianesflowersbydesign.com so we can transfer to our new site.
Can you help?

Hi @dianewoolley – It’s best that you start a new topic, but we’ll go ahead and try to help you here. Your domain (dianesflowersbydesign.com) expired over 3 months ago. The expiration process for domains has a grace period where we can help you get the domain back. We’re well past that period. The most recent action on the domain was it was released. Within the next 1-5 days the domain will likely be up for sale again. We recommend checking at least daily through your preferred domain registrar to repurchase the domain as soon as you see it.
Domain expiration can be a very grey area kind of thing. This is our best assessment of the domain’s status based on the information available to us. Neither you or us possess the domain any longer. We hope the info we’ve provided helps you successfully repurchase. Good luck.

Thank you. Do you have any recommendations for the best place to check it’s availability on and when it’s released?

If your current host lets you register domains, I’d check there first.
So if you wanted to re-register it here, use https://wordpress.com/domain to get started.
The domain is still in “pending delete” mode right now, but you can check it every few days.
Also, if you suspect anyone else will be in line to buy the domain when it’s available, you’d want to consider using a Domain Backorder service. You can find several options through a web search.
Hoping this helps!
