domain expired, alternative ways to export content?
-
Hi, my previous domain name expired (www.nice-and-simple.co) and i didn’t think much off it because i assumed the content would be safe with my host, i’ve since purchased a new domain name (www.simplicityandme.com) and i would like to import all my old content to this new site – my question is.. how can i export my old blog posts etc from my 1st blog when the domain name no longer exists? I can only find ‘how to’ guides what work when both domains are active. any advice appreciated! thanks so much
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
and i didn’t think much off it because i assumed the content would be safe with my host,
So your site at the first domain was also self-hosted? If so, the only people who’d be able to tell you if your content still exist is the original hosting provider.
However, most hosting providers don’t hold on to your content if you let your hosting expire. When you pay for hosting you’re paying them to store your content on their servers. If you stop paying them, they delete the content from their servers. They might still have a backup in their system, but I wouldn’t bet on it.
