Domain expired, it asks me to update DNS, but i purchased domain with WordPress

  The domain i purchased several years ago expired and it is no letting me renew it. It says “DNS need to be updated”. I try to edit it with the WordPress DNS and it is not corrct, that i need to contact support. But i dont understand why i need to update the DNS if i purchased the domain directly with wordpress, any way, i cant seem to renew the domain and there is not an option to chat with someone for support. This is the second time i write here and still no answer. Thanks
