Domain expired, just want to use my wordpress.com address
-
My .com domain expired in January. I’m not interested in renewing because I don’t keep that blog active. However, I want the site to remain since it was a project. Can I just use my http://www.cartwheeladay.wordpress.com address, or is that all affected now since my .com expired? If I cancel the .com, will it delete all of my posts? I went in to my account and changed the primary address to .wordpress.com, but you still get an ‘Uh-oh!’ message when you visit the site.
Thanks for your help!

You can do that. If I cancel the domain your content will remain, and the expired domain messages won’t get in the way.
The only potential downside is if you want to use the name cartwheeladay.com with another site.
If you could confirm you are fine with losing the domain, I’ll cancel the domain and you’ll be all set.
