Domain expired; new primary domain unusable
-
Earlier this year I decided not to renew a domain and changed my primary domain back to a .wordpress.com address. (My old domain – procyclingfanatic.com – now appears to be a scam site.)
When I now access the .wordpress.com site, I get the message ‘Uh oh! Your blog’s domain procyclingfanatic.com expired 146 days ago!’. The message also appears when not logged in, so the same message is seen by any user who comes to the blog.
I would like to use my .wordpress.com site, but how can I get rid of this message?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
I guess you need to set your wordpress.com address as the primary domain. After logging in try going to My Sites > Domains. Find your wordpress.com address and follow these instructions here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/#setting-the-primary-domain
Hope that helps. -

I’ve added the tag modlook to this thread to bring staff attention to it. Whenever you need staff member help you may use it. More info on this here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-help-in-the-forums/#how-do-i-get-a-moderatorstaff-reply-for-my-question

Hi there Simon,
I have removed the overlay from procyclingfanatic.wordpress.com.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks!

Just to clarify, I have changed the primary domain back to the free address (https://sciencespeakspeoplelistenonline.wordpress.com/) but the overlay is still appearing. Could you please remove it?
