1. What is the domain URL?
2. What is the underlying .wordpress.com URL?
3. Exactly which username account registered the underlying .wordpress.com blog and purchased the upgrade for it?

Hi there,
I heard back from our registry partner and have both good and bad news.
The bad news is that the domain has passed the redemption period and so I couldn’t retrieve it from our registry partners because they no longer own the domain.
The good news is that the domain should be available to be re-registered any day now..and you won’t have to pay the $80 fee to do so! The only thing is that no one knows exactly when it will be released and we also do not know if there is someone out there wanting to register it before you. So, I would recommend to check everyday and try to register the domain.

Currently it says that the domain is on hold, pending delete. But, soon it should say that it is ready to be registered again.

I heard rumours that companies notice if you are keeping an eye on a domain and then buy them and hold them to ransom – could this be true?
There is a box on thee page saying:“DrLisaLaw.com has expired!
This domain name could be yours for the right price.
Backorder drlisalaw.com now >”It links to GoDaddy.
Should I press that??Thank you!!

That is very true. Which is why I would periodically check the whois for the status. Or, try to register the domain again through WordPress.com and see if it goes through.

You can try to register the domain via WordPress.com, but the only way you’ll know if the domain is available through WordPress.com is through attempting to register the domain. On the other hand, WHois will tell you the exact status of the domain.
