domain expired, redemption period?

    I forgot to renew my domain, and it seems now in redemption period. i’m confused, since the domain mapping is asking for configuration. I’ve read that i need to pay $80 late fees, where do i pay them?

    Hi there,

    gcalories.com was registered through WordPress.com but expired on 2016-11-11. It has now passed the redemption period which means are no longer able to recover it, I’m afraid.

    The next stage in the domain expiration process is ‘Domain Released’:

    Domain Expiration

    If the domain isn’t purchased an auction or by someone else, it will be released into the pool of available domain names. I’m not able to give you a timescale for when this might happen.

    Before your domain expired, it was linked to your WordPress.com account, but now the mapping isn’t able to find that domain.

    The best advice I can give you now is to keep checking to see if the domain has become available again — in which case you can purchase it again.
