Domain expired, then renewed, now images broken

Hi there,
I had the domain languageandothermusings.com for a year, and then it expired. I renewed it yesterday with the same domain name, languageandothermusings. All of the images I uploaded while originally have the domain name are all broken links, and no longer appear in my Media folder.
Everything online keeps saying to download search and replace plugins, but I’m on WordPress.com and can’t download other plugins. How can I restore these photos, even if it’s a manual task?

I uploaded everyone of these photos to the Media folder, the links appear like https://languageandothermusings.files.wordpress.com/2015/10/n1365480322_30027985_2513.jpg
I have read on other forums that if you change your domain name, then you simply need to manually update that in the url. However, my domain name has remained the same.

I checked languageandothermusings.com just now and scrolled until I found a post with an image in it:
https://languageandothermusings.com/2016/10/09/11-months/I see that the first image in that post is:
https://languageandothermusings.files.wordpress.com/2016/10/img_2829.jpg?w=988&h=740And it is working normally for me.
I’m hoping what you were experiencing before may have just been a temporary glitch and I’m sorry if re-uploading each and every image again manually is what you had to do to fix the problem before!
