Domain expiring and the blog creator is not working for us anymore!

  Hello,

  How do I get myself to be in control of the blog? I am an admin but the domain can not be renewed by me, only the person who created it. She can upgrade me, but HOW?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  For most TLDs registered through WordPress.com, an expired domain falls into a grace period for about 10 days to two weeks. During this short window, the domain can be renewed at the regular price. If you experience difficulty renewing your domain during this time, go to the Help section. There will be a link to contact Support for further assistance.

  Thank you but it doesn’t help and it will expire within 10 hours now… I added my own card to another blog but this blog says:
  Unable to buy WordPress.com Premium, this site has WordPress.com Premium purchased by different user. This different user DOES NOT have the credit card the purchase was originally made and she is not able to renew it.

  Hello –

  The renewal can only occur from the account that owns the upgrade.

  My suggestion is that you ask the current owner to transfer ownership over to you, so that you can take over ownership and renewals. Here are the instructions to pass along to them: https://en.support.wordpress.com/transferring-a-site-to-another-wordpress-com-account/
