Domain Expiry
-
Our domain name appears to have expired, along with the mappings we had set up to point it to an external host, but I can’t see what to do to renew it. Can anybody help here?

Our records show that houghtoncc.com expired on 27-oct-2016.
Domain expiration is a lengthy and complicated process that takes about 80 days. During this time, your domain may be put up for auction or sold on back-order.
You can learn more about domain expiration here:
The good news is that we may still be able to recover your domain if it has not yet been deleted or purchased by someone else.
A late renewal fee of $80 will be added to the regular price of renewal. This fee is charged by the domain registry and is not one that we can waive. The total price will be $98, which is $18 for the regular renewal, plus the $80 late renewal fee. If you do not wish to pay the $80 fee, you may let the domain expiration process continue and attempt to register the domain again at the regular price, once it has completely expired.
Please note that someone else may purchase the domain first, in which case you will be unable to register it again.
Please let me know what you would like to do.

I am sending you an email to the address associated with your WordPress.com account. Please let me know if you do not receive it.

Hi there, there’s a problem with that email address, but I can still log in to the control panel and change it to another if that helps?
-
I’m not sure that I understand. You do not have access to the email address associated with the houghtoncc account?
-
That’s right, it’s a gmail address, and it must have been set up by somebody who has since left the organisation. I think that’s one of the reasons that the domain expired – nobody got the notifications that would have been sent. I have the access information to the WordPress account though, so I imagine I can log in and change this address to another which they do have access to.

Yep, got it thank you. I’ll get this sorted now. Thanks for your help with it all. I’ll let you know when they’ve put the payment through.
