  I deleted an old domain name when I deleted my blog (lisemcnally.wordpress.com). No one else is currently using it, but it won’t let me use it again. Will it become available at some point?

  Hey there –

  Unfortunately, not. Once deleted, domain names are permanently gone forever. I would suggest seeing if the custom domain name lisemcnally.com is available and consider purchasing that.

  Also, in the future, I would set your blog to private rather than deleting it because if you ever change your mind on keeping your domain name, you will still have access to it.
