Domain for design and build

  Currently I have a live landing page (on squarespace) using the domain I will eventually use for this site.

  How do I design and build this site without changing the domain for now?

  This is a common question. Sounds like your goal is to move that domain to your WordPress.com site once the new site with us is ready to go.

  Here’s my suggestion.

  1. create a free site and build it. There are some great tips in these webinars https://wordpress.com/webinars/
  2. keep the new site private so you don’t affect any ongoing SEO.
  3. connect the domain and upgrade your hosting plan.
