domain forwarding

The redirect is a bit of a hack, but it’s the only solution we have right now. If anyone has any problems getting it to work, contact Support and we’ll help out.
We hope to make it easier to redirect your blog to an outside site in the future.

Hi,
I would like to redirect a domain xxxx.com to one of my blogs pages, like to xxxx.wordpress.com/about, as I have already another domain redirect to the main blog page. Is it possible? Does someone know this answer, please? Also, is it possible to post several posts in more than one page in the blog, cause so far I saw that only the main page or 1 selected page can receive posts, so.. will the other pages always be static pages? (I want to post different subjects in different pages on the same blog domain – as editorials).
Thanks for help, I didn’t find topics about these questions…

I very much doubt it’s possible. Only one domain upgrade can be applied per blog.
As for your second question, not on WP.com. The blog posts go only to one page (if you don’t count the category pages). All other pages are static except archives and categories, which are of course built on the fly.

So, I’m a bit confused. Is there a way to redirect site.wordpress.com to someothersite.com?
Please provide a link or directions to do so if possible. Thanks in advance.

I need some seriouse help! My blog is from blogger.com and hosted by enom. If I have already paid 10 bucks and my domain doesnt expire until may….would I really have to buy something I already own? All I want is just my blog to be on wordpress.com so I can get a better service.

You buy the right to attach that domain name to a WordPress.com blog. You’d need to HAVE a WordPress.com blog first: import the Blogger blog and then pay the domain mapping upgrade. Then that domain would direct to your WP.com blog instead of your blogger.com blog.

Just confirming – I’m sorry if it’s simple. I looked for the answer first.
Since [myblogname].wordpress.com and [mynewdomain.com] will both work if I purchase a domain through wordpress, I’m assuming this means I will NOT have to go through my posts and fix/change any links I’ve created to other posts? Are there any best-practice thoughts as to whether I should?
In a year or so I may switch the blog to a wordpress.org situation but using the same domain name (I think I read I can transfer the name purchased via WP) and being able to change the links over time would be helpful.
Thank you!!

Never mind. Saw the answer:
Q1: For example, visitors to http://andy.wordpress.com/about/ would be automatically redirected to http://andyskelton.com/about/ without missing a beat. Old permalinks and bookmarks will still work.
Q2: You will be able to transfer your domain to another registrar, though not in the initial release.

I need some help. I deleted one of my blogs. I have a website that was mapped to that blog. I would like to now mapped another one of my blogs to the website, but I am told that there is a wordpress blog (the one I deleted, I suppose) mapped there.
Thanks.

@leighrastivo, I answered you in this other thread you started. Please don’t post the same question in multiple threads. It causes the volunteers here to run around in circles and ends up delaying answers for everyone.
