Domain from godaddy, mapped to wordpress, website content keeps disappearing!
-
This is weird one, which I think (?) may have to do with DNS settings.
I bought a domain (britishdemocracy.com) on godaddy, build a blog on wordpress, then paid to put the blog onto my pre-owned domain. But now my website seems to shift between visible and replaced by a placeholder page!
Can you help?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello there!
I just visited: http://britishdemocracy.com/
It is displaying a splash page. The page is not hosted at WordPress.com. The page appears to be hosted at GoDaddy.
Could you explain exactly how you want you site and domain to work? Then, I can assist further.
If you no longer intend to use your domain for a WordPress.com site, you might as well removed the domain mapping upgrade you purchased:

If your domain isn’t hosted here, and your site isn’t hosted here, there’s no need for you to maintain domain mapping here either!
Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks very much.

Thanks for the speedy reply. I haven’t been very clear –
GoDaddy’s splash page seems to be asserting itself over the content I’m producing at my wordpress.com site.
I bought the domain, and then followed wordpress’s instructions when setting up my new blog to map it to the domain I bought from godaddy. Except now I think I must have messed that up somehow, because navigating to britishdemocracy.com just brings up the godaddy splash page (when what I want to see is the blog).
Perhaps what I should be doing is taking this up with godaddy’s support people?

Hello again!
Aha!
GoDaddy’s splash page seems to be asserting itself over the content I’m producing at my wordpress.com site.
Everything looks great on my end now. When I visit britishdemocracy.com, I am taken to your WordPress.com site.
So you are aware, it can take up to 72-hours for changes to your name servers to appear correctly throughout the internet. That could be why you were not see things working properly, initially.
Let me know if you’re seeing your domain working as you want now.
If you’re not, you may have to clear your browser’s cache, using the instructions below, then take another look:
